2016 Mount Horrocks Watervale Riesling

Scintillating, pure, vibrant Riesling. An epee thrust of citrus, green apple, crushed slate-like minerality. It’s got so much energy, feels so pent up, tight, squeaky, impressively long. It’s for drinking now with vigour, or lazing over after a couple of decades in the cellar.

2013 Mount Horrocks Clare Valley Shiraz

Estate organically grown; open-fermented in purpose-designed vessels, 15% whole bunches, foot-stamped, matured for 18 months in French barriques (40% new). The evocative bouquet semaphores the satsuma plum and blackberry fruits at the heart of the wine, surrounded and supported by fine-grained tannins building authority to the finish of the immaculately balanced medium-bodied palate; the oak is totally integrated.

2013 Mount Horrocks Nero d’Avola
The second vintage from vines imported by Stephanie Toole in ’04. Light, bright crimson; a spring festival of red fruits on the fragrant bouquet and supple, medium-bodied palate that has a quasi pinot noir finish, lifting and expanding on the finish and aftertaste.
