Young Mount Horrocks Cordon Cut late-picked sweeties can be deceptively simple. Always intense and nearly always perfectly balanced, without botrytis they need a few years for their complex best. Pure and lime pulp sweet-smelling; bitter pith too; wet rocks. Lovely pure palate: super intense and mouth-watering acidity balances sweet, concentrated lime-pith fruit. Intense peel, really quite lip-smacking and mouth-sucking. Needs five years. Perfect tension between fruit, acidity, and sugar.
