2009 Mount Horrocks Semillon

Barrel fermented Semillon can often end up broad and lifeless. Not this one! This is a backward style, in no way heavy, but instead displaying lovely purity of lemon, guava and starfruit. 100% barrel fermentation adds spice and weight to the back palate, lifting and supporting its fresh, zesty, edgy fruit profile, which remains the focus throughout. Impressive.
