As usual, a portion (15%) was whole bunch foot-stamped in open fermenters, the balance in tanks with header boards; matured in French barriques (40% new) for 18 months. Marries power with finesse, its black fruits filling the medium to full-bodied palate, but does so with guile; it has outstanding line and length, and will be very long-lived, yet allow access at any point along the journey.
