2017 Mount Horrocks Watervale Riesling

Single vineyard Riesling from one of the absolute stars of the Clare Valley region. In fact – I’d reckon this riesling doesn’t get quite the recognition it deserves. Exhibit A. This is a beautiful Clare Valley riesling. It screams Clare, it insists on riesling. Lemon, lime and talc, assertive with flavour but pure and darting through the finish. Accessible now, in a delicious way, and yet made for later. You really do just want to guzzle this, even as you admire it.
